Our program blends full orchestral rehearsals to build ensemble unity, sectional rehearsals to work on instrument-specific skills, and collaborative group play sessions to refine technique, tone, and musical expression. For our top performers, we offer tailored audition preparation to the top youth orchestras, regional ensembles, or even professional opportunities. Immersive, Social Structure: Immersive, Social Structure: From September to December 2025, join four intensive half-day Saturday sessions every three weeks, complimented by online classes as well as a rehearsal & Concert weekend in December. Enjoy shared breaks that foster friendships and a warm, collaborative community.

Programme structure

We offer a dynamic, blended learning experience designed to inspire and challenge young musicians:

• Project-Based Structure: Runs from September to December 2025, fostering a focused, immersive journey.

• Four Intensive Saturday Sessions: Held every third Saturday, these workshops include:

Core Orchestra Programme: For all participants, featuring orchestra rehearsals, group play, and breaks to build community and skills.

Advanced Violin Programme: Advanced Programme, offering specialized performance class as well as audition training.

• Online Support Between Sessions: Virtual tutorials and classes provide ongoing guidance, technique refinement, and community connection.

Course Dates

The program blends online tutorials, virtual classes, and intensive in-person workshop days every third Saturday. Mandatory attendance dates are:

Four Intensive Saturday Sessions

• Saturday, 6 September 2025

• Saturday, 27 September 2025

• Saturday, 25 October 2025

• Saturday, 15 November 2025

Final Rehearsal and Performance Weekend  

Friday 5 December 2025: late afternoon/evening 

6/7 December 2025:  Concert Venue, Time to be confirmed.

Typical Saturday Schedule

Each half-day session is packed with diverse activities to refine skills, build confidence, and foster community, with breaks to encourage friendships and collaboration:

• 10:00–11:30: Orchestra Rehearsal 

• 11:30–11:45: Break 

• 11:45–12:45: Orchestra Rehearsal 

• 12:45–13:30: Lunch 

• 13:30–14:15: Group Play – Focus on technique and tone, enhancing precision and artistry.

• 14:15 -  Day ends for Participants in the Orchestra Programme.

• 14:30–15:20: Advanced Players – Performance & Growth – Dedicated session for all Advanced String players, using practical breathing, movement, and visualization tools to help you perform freely and develop confidence that helps both your music and everyday life.

• 15:30–16:30: Advanced Violin Players – Audition Training – Targeted preparation for top youth and professional orchestra auditions, covering essential repertoire and skills.

Course Fees

The fees for our Core Orchestra Programme is 3,600kr

AURA Financial Support programme

Our goal is to ensure that financial constraints do not prevent any young musician from participating in our activities. We strive to provide every young musician, regardless of their background or situation, with the chance to join AURA. Through our Financial Assistance Programme, you can have all or part of your fees covered. We currently offer two fully funded places and two partially subsidised places, which are allocated based on financial need. A dedicated section in the application form is available for those seeking this support.
