We envision a community where music inspires growth and creativity for children and adults alike. AURA stands for:
We seek to encourage young musicians to aim high and pursue excellence, fostering a culture where older players inspire younger ones through mentorship, shared passion, and outstanding commitment to their art.
We cultivate a joyful, inclusive community where students, parents, and educators unite in a spirit of warmth, mutual respect, and shared passion, inspiring one another to grow in a shared love of music.
We foster a supportive environment where perseverance is celebrated and nurtured, empowering children to explore musical techniques through engaging and inspiring activities that spark joy and growth
We nurture students’ creative expression, guiding them to develop their unique musical voice and craft with passion and skill.
Maria is a violinist and educator with over 20 years of professional experience and holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree (PhD) from the University of Music in Warsaw. Her passion for ensemble music began at the age of 13 with the North Iceland Symphony Orchestra and continued through tours with the European Union Youth Orchestra, performing in renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Concertgebouw, under conductors like Vladimir Ashkenazy and alongside soloists including Itzhak Perlman.
For the past two decades, she has co-organised a major international summer workshop that welcomes over 200 young string players each year. That experience continues to inspire her — witnessing the unique energy that emerges when passionate young musicians come together, fuelled by both enthusiasm and deep musical commitment.
As an educator, she is driven by the belief that ensemble playing teaches some of life’s most important lessons: listening deeply, working collaboratively, and learning how to contribute your own voice to something larger than yourself. She is passionate about creating environments where young musicians can grow – not just in technical skill, but as confident, empathetic individuals.
She has also integrated her training as a sophrologist into her teaching, equipping young musicians with practical techniques that enhance performance and offer tools for managing pressure and maintaining balance in all areas of life.
Through AURA, she is thrilled to help recreate the same magic she once experienced in youth orchestras – bringing together dedicated young players in pursuit of musical excellence, while nurturing life skills that last far beyond the stage. Her goal is to provide a space where every young musician can thrive and experience the joy of creating something meaningful together.
